My Lanes

Some people move through life with a lot of circles. They have travel friends, gym friends, work friends, weekend groups. Their social world is wide, and they fit into all of it easily.

I’m not built like that.

I connect in a way that feels deep and intentional. I don’t spread myself across ten lanes. I don’t keep casual circles just to feel busy. I build a few meaningful connections, and I show up fully inside them.

It’s honest. It’s real. And sometimes it hurts.

The hardest moments are when I suddenly see parts of someone’s life I’ve never been part of. A trip with people I’ve never heard of. A friend group I didn’t know existed. It makes me wonder if I ever really knew them at all.

But the truth is simpler. I’m a deep‑connection person living in a wide‑connection world. I feel the impact of closeness more intensely than most people do. I notice more. And when something shifts, I feel it.

That doesn’t mean I have less of a life. It means my life is built differently.

The real work isn’t to become someone with a dozen lanes. The real work is to find people who can meet me at my depth. People who don’t disappear into other circles. People who value sincerity over social rotation. People who understand that connection is something you build, not something you skim across.

I don’t need more lanes. I need the right people in the ones I already have.
